Virtual & Traditional Workshops

The Niagara Falls Art Gallery offers a wide selection of workshops in both Virtual and Traditional delivery methods. See WORKSHOPS below for more information.

Addressing Our Community
In response to the onset of Covid-19, and its evolving ramifications on our communities, we have implemented modifications & increased health and safety protocols as well as developed new delivery methods, such as Virtual Classes which can aid the reduction of exposure and ease concerns. We have also, in the face of increased costs and protocols, have been able to present an unwavering pricing system for our traditional classes, add a very cost comparable Virtual Program with materials included, and keep intact our discount pricing for Niagara Regional schools able to participate in our programs multiple times over the school year (Art Stars). Virtual Workshops
Digital delivery with a Virtual Artist LIVE in the Classroom!

The same great workshops you've come to know but delivered to you digitally! Our instructor is virtually transported LIVE into your classroom through your preferred method of either ZOOM or TEAMS!* Our licensed delivery methods are not only secure but also our safest (as we can virtually come to your classroom) and perhaps our clearest delivery method as you can project a large display of the workshop that is easy to see for everyone! We can even work with students in multiple locations if you happen to have students working from home, out of the classroom or even multiple classrooms!

Workshops are ~75-90mins (Grades 1-8) or ~60mins (ELKP) in length. Choose from one of over 160 different workshops** from our online catalogue or speak to one of our staff so that we can tailor a workshop to your specific needs! Vitual workshops are offered in oil pastel, tempera paint or clay.

Better still, you can choose a materials included or a work with your own materials option for your students. Materials included workshops will arrange for the appropiate materials to be dropped off at your school approximately 1 week prior to the workshop and are yours to keep! Work with your own materials lessons are also a very affordable option as they can be tailored to work with materials you already have in the classroom and are offered at a lower price point.

What do you need?
All you need is an internet connection, a computer/laptop, a projector with speaker and an optional webcam!
*Programs may already be installed on your system, accessed through a browser, or easily downloaded for free (see links below). Contact your technical support for inquires. **Some workshops may not be available &/or have additional materials not supplied by the gallery - please see catalogue or enquire for details.

Costs with Materials:
• Niagara Region School Pricing: $8/student
• Niagara Region Silver or Gold Star Members: $7 /student*
• Out Of Region School Pricing: $10/student

Traditional Workshops
Artists physically in the Classroom

All of our staff have been fully COVID vacinated, will wear masks throughout the workshop and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Visiting artists will come to your classroom to lead the lesson with all the necessary materials for your workshop*. Please note that only the students' final products, and not the art supplies, remain with the class.

Workshops are offered in oil or chalk pastel, charcoal, pencil, tempera paint, papier mache and clay. Acrylic on canvas specialty workshops may be available for older grades at additional cost (please enquire).

Out Of Region Schools?

FAQ: "I've heard great things about your programs but can you do them at our school?"
Our answer will most likely be: YES.
If your school is part of the DSBN or NCDSB then our workshops are absolutely available for you. Our educational programs for schools are available throughout southern Ontario however we do have a seperated pricing structure for those schools and organizations that are beyond our regular boarders.
