Artist Bio:
I am a self-taught visual artist from Canada working in a variety of different mediums (oil, acrylic, pastel, spray paint and digital). I have a BA in English Literature and a MA in Theory and Criticism. After becoming disenchanted with academia, I leapt into the world of digital marketing and graphic design. I could no longer, contra Deleuze, be “a friend of the concept.” This is not to say that concepts do not possess a vitality of their own or aren't worthy of friendship. But I wanted abstractions to ride skateboards, to simulate life in a new way. I wanted my psyche to learn how to ollie again.
